Early Life Of SZA

Born Solána Imani Rowe on November 8, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey. SZA was born to a Muslim father who worked at CNN as an executive producer, while her Christian mother worked at AT&T as an executive. She has an older brother, Daniel, a rapper whose stage name is Manhattan, and an older half-sister, Tiffany Daniels. She grew up learning Muslim teachings.

SZA was featured on “What Lovers Do” by pop rock band Maroon 5 which made it to the top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
