Offset was released after eight months in custody after he accepted an Alford plea deal. The deal dropped the gun, drug, and all gang-related charges in exchange for pleading guilty to inciting a riot within a penal facility. He was fined $1,000; served five years probation and was banished from Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven counties. Takeoff faced marijuana charges and accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 12 months of probation. Quavo pleaded no contest to misdemeanour marijuana charges and received a 12-month sentence, and it was suspended based on fines payment.

On March 17, 2016, Offset was arrested in Atlanta for driving with a suspended license but was released the following day without having charges filed against him. The rapper has since claimed his license was never suspended and the police detained him without probable cause. On July 7, 2017, Takeoff was asked to leave a flight from Atlanta to Des Moines, Iowa after he refused to move his bag from the floor and put it on an overheard storage bin before takeoff. Rapper XXXTentacion claimed the Migos injured him and pulled a gun on him. In 2018, Migos were sued for inciting a riot at Washington Avenue Armory in 2015.
