Chicago’s fast-rising and talented rapper King Von met his untimely death in a shooting that happened in Atlanta on a Friday morning in early November 2020. He died at the age of 26. King Von was ready to give his contemporaries a tough time in the music industry. But unfortunately, his life was cut short at the peak of his rap game.

King Von was killed after a violent confrontation outside a Nightclub in Atlanta that led to an exchange of gunfire between two groups. According to TMZ, a deadly shootout flare-up early Friday morning November 6, 2020, outside Monaco Hookah Lounge between two groups of young men arguing with each other. The exchange of gunfire between the groups prompted an off-duty Atlanta police officer who work at the nightclub and one patrolling officer who was working nearby.

The Two officers began firing while confronting the gunmen. Per report 6 people sustained gunshots, 3 were taken to the hospital by EMS and the other three fled, but ended up in the hospital. King Von and 2 other people who were shot died from their wounds.

King Von was a fast-rising star in the Chicago drill scene. He was born Dayvon Daquan Bennett on August 9, 1994. Von had six siblings from his father and 3 siblings from his mother. He grew up under the care of his mother, while his father was in prison. At the age of 11, his father got killed by gunfire. When started recording music he paid tribute to his father in one of his songs “Exposing Me.”

When he was growing up he faced several legal troubles even at a youthful age. A first-degree murder case and other two counts of attempted murder cases were pressed against him at the age of 16.
