5 youngest african presidents making positive impact

This article will focus on the youngest African presidents making a massive change for their country and the African continent. Many young people in Africa think that most of the Presidents on the continent are corrupt and greedy. They serve their interests and not the citizens when they are allowed to serve. To stay in power, some of them manipulate the laws and the constitution to their advantage.

Many African youths wanted to be ruled over by people younger than the aged. However, a young man can serve his people better than older men if they are allowed to. These are the five youngest African Presidents and Prime Ministers, making a massive impact in their respective countries.

Mahamat Idriss 37 years old, President of Chad

Mahamat ibn Itno, also known by Mahamat Kaka is an army general from Chad. As the de facto President of Chad, Mahamat is the chairman of the Transitional Military Council of Chad, and the son of the late President of Chad, Idriss Deby. He was born January 1 1984 and assumed office on April 20 2021.

Andry Rajoelina (47-year-old )President of Madagascar

Andry Nirina Rajoelina, a Malagasy politician/businessman, is the President of Madagascar. He has held this position since 2019. After a political crisis, a military-backed coup and a period of political turmoil, he was President of a Provisional Government from 2009 to 2014. He had previously held the office of Antananarivo Mayor for one year.

Assimi Goita (38 years old), President of Mali

Colonel Assimi Goita, a Malian military officer, has been President of Mali since May 24 2021. Goita was the leader of the National Committee for the Salvation of the People. In the 2020 Malian coup, this military junta overtook former President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. He was born in 1983.

Abiy Ahmad (45-year-old ) Prime Minister of Ethiopia

Abiy Ahmed Ali, an Ethiopian politician, has been the fourth Prime Minister of FDR Ethiopia since April 2018. He was the third chairman and the first Oromo of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front.

Mamady Doumbouya (41 years old), President of Guinea

Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, a Guinean military officer, led the 2021 Guinean coup against President Alpha Conde. He is a member of the Special Forces Group as well as a former French legionnaire. Doumbouya broadcast on state television that his faction had dismantled the government and constitution before the attempted coup. At the Palace of Nations in Guinea, Doumbouya was sworn into office on October 1, 2021.
